Stranger Things - Coronation Street remix

I'd just watched Stranger Things and really liked the titles done by Imaginary Forces, so over a couple of lunch times set myself the challenge of trying to recreate them in After Effects.

I watched the titles closely and tried to recreate all the small nuances as best I could such as the texture on the letters, light bleed around the edges, speed the letters moved at, length of cuts, grain and the way the text went slightly red as it faded off.

I thought rather than doing a straight copy it'd be fun to use a completely different programme, obviously Coronation Street seemed a logical choice. In this world I imagine Norris spends his time astral projecting in his bath to spy on Rita in her bloomers, Steve, Dev & Kevin ride around on their BMXs searching for the missing Roy Cropper, and Ken Barlow stalks the back alley tearing cats & pigeons apart with his bare hands.
