Paa Joe & The Lion Posters

As well as the main titles for Paa Joe & The Lion I also designed the posters for the film.  I produced three variants at Quad & A2 size as well as a one sheet version for use in the US.

The posters were influenced by the Ghanaian block printed fabrics with the four colours slightly offset and cloth textures and folds added. I created a block printed illustration of Paa Joe stood with his lion coffin in Illustrator and put the posters together in Photoshop.  The "Paa Joe & The Lion" text was designed by Amy Blackwell who also provided me with the wonderful big lion face illustration she'd drawn previously for t-shirts which I used for the variant posters.

I also produced several versions of the posters for various events as well as A5 flyers and looping GIFs for use on social media.
